Obama and Fox News

I have to admit, I have a certain affection for the “new” MSNBC, which despite efforts to be bipartisan, is now completely driven by such partisan pundits as Keith Olberman and Rachel Maddow. But even with a slight pro-Obama slant, they’re nothing like the ruthless, McCain-supporting and Obama-smearing Fox News.

It’s interesting then to see that Fox executives had a sit-down meeting with Obama, in which they attempted to smooth over relations between their network and the Democratic nominee. You can read about it here.

One wonders if they’re beginning to read the writing on the wall and don’t want to be completely shut out of the next administration. Maybe they should tell Sean Hannity to stop talking about how Obama eats babies, his wife sleeps with terrorists, etc.

Wow, I think you’re right about parallel universes, because I see a totally different MSNBC (and campaign generally) than you do.

You see a “slight pro-Obama tilt”; I see a network that’s completely in the tank for Obama, with unabashed cheerleading and contempt and utter loathing for anything and anyone Republican (or even Democrat, if they dare to question Obama in any way). I see a network that’s every bit as ruthless as you see Fox News as.
